What is INVEGA®?
INVEGA® is a type of medication called an atypical antipsychotic. INVEGA® is the only oral medication approved for the treatment of schizoaffective disorder [1].
Does INVEGA® treat the symptoms of schizoaffective disorder?
In studies of more than 600 people with
schizoaffective disorder [1], INVEGA® was shown to effectively reduce the psychotic and mood symptoms associated with the disorder.
INVEGA® can be taken alone or with mood stabilizers and/or antidepressants. Both ways of taking INVEGA® were shown to help improve symptoms. Your doctor will help determine which medication or medications are right for you.
When will my symptoms begin to improve?
Each person responds to medicine differently. Follow your doctor's directions on how to take your medication, and be sure to talk to him or her if you do not think you are getting better. He or she may adjust your medication.
